Trust Levels help members understand how much of a person’s profile, contact details, and identity have been verified. They also give members more control over the type of matches they are comfortable receiving.
What are Trust Levels?
A Trust Level is a simple rating from Level 1 to Level 5.
The higher the level, the more verification a member has completed.
This does not mean one person is better than another. It simply helps everyone make informed choices. Some members may be comfortable speaking to someone who has completed their profile. Others may prefer to connect only with people who have verified their contact details, ID, or liveness.
Trust Levels make that choice clear.
The five MoyoWangu Trust Levels
Level 1 — Profile Started
This means the member has started their profile but has not yet completed all the required information.
They may still need to add more details, upload profile photos, or complete other steps before becoming fully active in matchmaking.
Level 2 — Profile Complete
This means the member has completed their profile and added at least two profile photos.
At this level, the member has provided enough information for basic matchmaking.
Level 3 — Contact Verified
This means the member has completed their profile and verified their email address and WhatsApp number.
This helps reduce fake or throwaway profiles and gives other members more confidence that the person is reachable through verified contact details.
Level 4 — ID Verified
This means the member has verified their identity document and legal names.
This provides a stronger level of confidence that the person behind the profile is connected to a verified identity.
Private ID details are never shown publicly.
Level 5 — Fully Verified
This is the highest Trust Level on MoyoWangu.
It means the member has completed profile verification, contact verification, ID verification, and VeriQoCheck liveness verification.
This helps confirm that the person is real, present, and connected to the verified identity.
Choosing the Trust Level you are comfortable with
Every member can choose the lowest Trust Level they are comfortable receiving matches from.
For example, you may decide that you are happy to match with people who have completed their profile. Or you may prefer to match only with people who have verified their contact details or completed ID verification.
There is one important fairness rule:
You can only choose a Trust Level up to your own current Trust Level.
So, if you are currently Level 3, you can choose to match with Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 members. You cannot choose Level 4 or Level 5 matches until you complete those verification steps yourself.
Why this rule matters
This rule keeps MoyoWangu fair.
It would not be right for someone with an incomplete or lightly verified profile to demand matches only from members who have completed higher levels of verification.
The more verification you complete, the more control you have over the Trust Level of people you can be matched with.
In simple terms:
To match with higher-trust members, you also need to build your own Trust Level.
Trust Levels work both ways
MoyoWangu matching is designed to respect both people’s preferences.
For example, if one member wants to match only with Level 4 and above, and another member is Level 2, they will not be matched together. This protects the comfort and expectations of both members.
Trust is not one-sided. Both people should feel comfortable with the connection.
Your private information stays private
Trust Levels are designed to show verification status without exposing sensitive personal information.
Other members may see a simple badge such as:
Level 3 — Contact Verified
or
Level 5 — Fully Verified
But they will not see your private details, such as your legal name, ID number, ID document, email address, WhatsApp number, or liveness verification data.
Your Trust Level gives reassurance without revealing information that should remain private.
